Geoff served as Toastmaster for the first time to a Father’s Day theme. There were 7 Members in attendance. We started 2 minutes late and ended 15 minutes early.
Scott elaborated on the idea of being comfortable in public speaking as his speaking tip. He suggested being comfortable with who you are can lead to greater comfort in front of a group. That means taking an audit of yourself and if there are areas about you that you are not comfortable with, then implement a change action plan to be OK with being you!
Geoff shared interesting facts about Father’s Day.
My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me.’

George gave a prepared speech about his Toastmaster experiences to date. He started with his mindset going into Toastmasters and closed with encouraging words for every Toastmaster. This completed his Level 3 Pathways. Congrats George!
Enyonam gave some Father’s Day inspired questions as Table Topics Master including:
- What is the most valuable lesson you learned from your father?
- What is a funny story about your father?
- What part in you is like your father?
- How do you impress your dad?
- Who is your hero?
- What one word describes your Dad?
Scott highlighted Geoff’s creative transitions as Toastmaster. He also reminded the group to call for Timer’s reports and post speech love note time. He also reminded the group to call on the prepared speakers evaluator before the speaker and to read their introduction aloud.
