Siva was the Toastmaster of the day and led the meeting with the theme of Retirement plan.

There were 6 Members and 2 Guests in attendance. We started on time with our current president Fowota officially kicking off the session.

We began with one of our newest members Kevin’s prepared speech, about his mother. The flow of his speech was as fluid as water and his transitions were even better. This was his 2nd speech that lasted between 5-7 minutes.

Bob shared a joke about a rabbi, a preacher and a priest, as a jokemaster.

Did you know, 1 in 3 Americans has $0 saved for retirement? Throughout this session, Siva shared very valuable information on retirement. Such as, the top 3 best ways to save for retirement; starting with 401k. By taking advantage of your employer’s 401k match. Secondly, by contributing to a Roth or Traditional IRA up to the annual contribution limits, and 3rd, maximizing your 401K up to the pre-tax limit or if you are able to also fund up to the after-tax limit.

Enyonam was our Table Topics master, her questions revolved around money aligning with the theme. She quoted someone famous then, asked the participants to react to the statement. What a creative way to handle Table Topics!
